I am having a particular query which you wanted to ask to all the users of this particular forum. I have installed Ubuntu 11.04 on the computer of mine. Also I have installed Gnome 3 on the computer of mine. Well I am looking to have key bindings under Gnome 3. I tried to with couple of thing to fix the matter but it did not worked for me at all. Let me know if you are having any specific idea on this matter. Any help on this particular matter would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.
I wanted to share the experience of mine to binding the keys under Gnome 3. Well I have added global hotkeys under the shift, Alt and r so that I can run the following command.

after using the above mentioned command Foober seems to be open on the terminal and playing random songs. I am hoping that the thing which I have mentioned over here would be useful to make the thing working.
Well I let you know something which would be useful to get the requirement of yours. I have found that the Key bindings would not work at all if you are trying on the Run Command dialog. Also if you wanted make the thing working then you have to run the command on the Terminal. So you should try to run key binding on the system of yours and let me know whether it is working or not.
You can use the emacs key binding on the Gnome windows manager . this is working for Gnome applications to built using the GTK. All the above mentioned bindings should be enabled by default. It seems to be disabled into the default configuration. To re enable the same you have to hit F2 so that gconf-editor . also you can do the same you have to go for the Shell. You need to go for the /desktop/gnome/interface/gtk_key_theme and you have to change the entry from the Default to Emacs. You have to close the gconf-editor.
Looking at the requirement of mine I am having a particular solution which you can use to fix the matter of mine. I am suggesting following command which you can run on the terminal. You should copy and paste the entire command and press enter.

I think there is a an issue with the Gnome itself. Well I recommend that you should simply reinstall the Gnome on the computer of yours and see whether it is working or not. If the issue is still persisting on the computer of yours then I am suspecting that there is a bug issue associated. How to install icons on Gnome 3?

I am new to Ubuntu. Well I have recently installed Ubuntu and using Gnome 3 as a desktop manager. I am unable to find any way which I can use to change the icon or theme of Gnome. Let me know if you are having any idea why I am having above mentioned issue. Any help on this particular matter would be highly appreciated. In order to get the requirement of yours I am suggesting that you have to download Faenza on the computer of yours. it would give you monochromatic for the Panels, toolbars and buttons. Getting poor performance of Gnome 3

I am having a laptop from past couple of days. I have installed Ubuntu on the computer of mine. I have noticed an issue with this particular operating system. I am experiencing poor graphical performance on the system of mine. It seems to be really laggy and slow. I have installed Gnome 3 as the desktop manger on the computer of mine. I am unable to figure out whether there is an issue with the hardware or operating system of the computer of mine. Any help to fix the matter of mine would be highly appreciated. I have found the performance of Gnome shell is varying in different situation. It seems to be working fine for some people and some people are having lots of issue. I have noticed that it seems to be happening due to drivers issue. In many situation open source drivers are working fine. Mostly this particular issue is associated with drivers so to fix the matter of yours I recommend that you need to install the latest version of drivers on the computer of yours.
I am suggesting following thing which would be useful to improve the performance of Gnome. You should not use the SVG/Vector Icon themes. When you are supposed to use the SVG icon theme all the icons are seems to be rendered to the default icon size is changed. The best method is to use the PNG icon theme or you have to convert the SVG icon theme to the 128x128 PNG icon. So you should take car of the thing which I have mentioned over here.

First of all you have to go for System and then you have to go for Admin and then you will have the login screen.
Now you have to enter the credential on the system of yours and simply switch to the classic view.

Adobe Flash Player 10.3 download did not pass the integrity check

I have started this thread to inform you all that the latest version of the flash player download has not passed the integrity test. The reason I am saying that is because whenever I have tried to install the Adobe Flash Player 10.3 in my dell laptop but with no luck it was unsuccessful every time. I don’t know what is causing the problem here and also for all your information we had disabled the antivirus as well while downloading this software but none of them helped us. I need you help on this particular problem, so please do guide me through this, I am waiting for the suggestions from your side.

There are various websites which provide you links for the same, do not get under their influence and download the software, here is the link that I am giving you. See I have one more suggestion for you do one thing go to the downloadable link and at first download it from there. Now after you have done with the downloading stuff then do the next step as Extract it and then open the folder navigating to fp_10.3.181.14_archive\10_3r181_14. Now do one thing run the flashplayer10_3r181_14_win.exe file then check out if the problem is solved or not. I bet that the problem must be solved after that. So that is what I am saying here. I hope you have got the necessary solution on the same.
See you need to check out the browser as well. If you are using the internet explorer as your browser then do one thing check if the Shockwave Flash Object plugin is enabled or not. It should be enabled so that they do get perfectly installed in the system and else if you are using the other browser then do check out if you Shockwave Flash plugin enabled. Adobe Flash Player 10.1.53.64 software files stuttering

I have experienced some kind of stuttering on HP Pro 6000 desktops that I sue in my office. Let me tell you that it is not once or twice but many a time si have encountered this kind of problem. That is what I am trying to say here. I have noticed this problem soon after the update to the version 10.1.53.64. however there is an interesting twist in the tale the same update does not give any kind of problem with the other laptops such as dell or any other else. So that’s what I am trying to say here. However if I roll back to the previous version in my HP Pro i.e 10.45.2 it start working again. So what’s the problem here, please do let me know about it. I am waiting for the suggestions from you all.
Ok seems to me as some problem with the graphic card and hence that’s what I am saying here. You need to update the drivers of the graphic card regularly. So that you will not get to see these kind of problem and hence this is what I have to say here. Have you heard of the feature named as Hardware Acceleration, if you have heard it then do turn it off it does adds value to the performance in your system, so these are the two suggestions that I would like to suggest. Hope you all do like it.
Seems to me as some kind of technical issue and hence it seems it can be solved only after the update from them only. I hear adobe people confirming about the same issue and they had admitted that the testing part was limited to some f the graphic cards only and hence I don’t know what graphic card are you saying, you can be a exception here. I hope you are getting the point what I am trying to make here. Hoping that they will soon come up with a fix to this problem.
I have a perfect solution for you make sure you work on it and let me know if that solves the problem or not. See what the solution is that check the value "Idle Power Savings" from the system BIOS menu and you need to modify it. so if you are wondering how? Then let me tell you press F10 when you are booting the system, go to the power menu and in the OS Power Mgmt and there you ahev to change the default value which is extended to the normal. That’s it. this si the only solution for you. now come back and reboot the system and then try installing the flash update. Your problem will be solved.
See if you are not getting any breakthrough with the above suggestions then do one thing call up the adobe people and aks them to give the suggestion or do frame a question and ask them what should be done in the situation like these. Hello everyone i have done the installation of the FlashPlayer in the system. I have a small issue that I would like to discuss it with you all. so please do help me out of this situation. I do not want to install the mgm icon that comes in the control panel, so that’s what I want and hence do let me know what should I try so that I can get out of the said problem. So please do let me know about the solutions for the said problem and I am waiting for the necessary solution.
If you look at the latest version of the Flash Player 10.3 then you will get the native control panel feature and with that you do not get the option of selective installation. So that’s what I am informing you n the same. so read it carefully what I am saying here and I hope that it will be of good help for you. however I wll try and look for more such solutions on this subject and if I am able to get some help out of it, then I will surely inform you on the same. that’s what I want to say here.

Yes that’s absolutely correct. See what I am saying here is that the Flash Player Control Panel applet is only being supported by the windows xp and the latest version. One thing I am not understanding is that whats the harm in using the Flash icon in the control panel? That will allow you to clear out the flash settings in it. so that’s the added advantage for you. do look out for the same here and hence this is what I am saying here. So hope you have got the necessary suggestion on the same.

x64: C:\WINDOWS\sysWOW64\FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl
so either by renaming or deleting the file you will get the problem solved. Do let me know if this was of any help for you.

working properly with the Linux Ubuntu

Flash 10.3.162.29 (64 bit) is functioning wrongly on Xvfb/Ubuntu Linux. For example, if I watch some videos in my system , the video is all "crushed" in a little part of the display. in addition to that, the colors are all messed up so it really becomes very much difficult to understand what exactly is going on with the video. I am using the Ubuntu 10.04 operating system and also I have given the version of the adobe in the title. So do let me know what is the problem here? Can you all please tell me about it. I am waiting for the suggestions.
Ok in this situation, you can do two things. firstly look out for the update for the video adapter drivers, it can be the main reason why you are getting such a lag while playing the video. So that can be the sole reason behing and also one more thing that I would like to say is if you are aware of the hardware accelerator then make sure that you turn it off. it will give you a better performance at that point of time. So try these two suggestions that I have given here and let’s hope that it will solve out the matter.

Let me tell you that for your kind information Flash is only operational in Xvfb that way it is on a headless server. presently there is no hardware involved here only a software layer is present and it is named as Xvfb that emulate the hardware. I have a friend who is a 12th pass and he didnt pursue any further education because of his interests in graphics industry so its been more than 10 years, now that hes realized the value of education.

I advised him to go for B.Com privately from a UGC recog. Univ. Hes okay with the idea but he says that hasn't got any time to study as hes working for almost 14-20 hrs everyday, so studying wont be possible.
I would like to know if he can pursue any type of degree using his existing experience or any degree in his field itself which would be easy for him.

For getting a higher post in a job you need to have good qualification and therefore, it becomes a necessity to first fulfill this criteria. I would recommend your friend to not leave the job but take some long vacation and study for the courses that he would like to get a certification for. As he is into graphics industry, courses offered like for Maya or Corel draw would be also a great start.

How would you handle a drunk passenger.

Would you seat an incapacitated person in an exit row if the passenger wanted to move to that seat.

Would you seat a child in an exit row.

Would you ever upgrade a person for first class and if so, for what reasons.

How would you handle an upset passenger., or an angry passenger.

Would you accept a tip? What would you do if someone asked for your phone number?
Do you have to give a presentation? Have you been given a topic for the presentation?

If so, make it visual and keep it reasonably short. Use pictures if you can. Preparing the presentation on pieces of card can be very effective.

The key would appear to be very positive and very confident in your delivery. This will come from as much rehearsing as you can.

Practice some of the answers for the inteview questions that you are likely to be asked

What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
Have you ever lost your temper?
What is the best example of customer service that you have come across?
What is the worst example of customer service that you have come across?

It may also be worth contacting any cabin crew people that you know - or can find on the internet to see if they have any tips.

I would echo their thoughts that what you wear will be very important and that a smart jacket and skirt are essential as well as having a polished pair of shoes.

As regards dress my advice would be to dress in a similar way to that of a cabin crew - coordinating suit (ladies jacket and skirt, gentlemen jacket and trousers). Shoes tend to be flat soled or flat heels. Make doubly sure that you have polished your shoes.

Make sure that your nails are nicely clean and that you hair is tidy - getting it cut the day before would not do much harm.

Also make sure that you come across as confident and don't apologise about your appearance.
There are a few essential character traits which interviewers look for in the cabin crew. Some of these are patience, good communication skills, perseverance to excel, and keeping calm in emergency situations. While facing the interviewer, the interviewee should try to impress the above traits as much as possible.

One should give true answers as much as possible as interviewers are experience people and can easily see through a candidate giving 'too good to be true' answers. However, try to be as positive as possible with different scenarios and even if you say something negative, make sure you tell then your ways to overcome this.

Some of the questions could be as follows:

What are the strengths that make you a suitable candidate?
Can you tell us some of your weaknesses?
Have there been situations when you have lost your temper?
How would you define good and bad customer service
in the airline sector? Can you give examples of both?

The interview questions can be varied and nowadays there is a practise of HR to ask behavioural interview questions, just check this out should give you a fair idea.

It is because 64-bit guests are not going to be supported by the VPC. I would even not think of using Virtual Server on Windows 7. What are you saying? I disagree with Zimic's view. I did install the virtual lab, running the Windows 7. It did not run flawless, rather it gets stalls. It stalls while checking for the Active X Control. I went through all the requirements of the system and I doubt that I missed any thing in this dimension. Yes I really think that you must have done something wrong while doing the installation. Yes certainly it is not going to work until the Active X control is installed. If it is stalling at that moment then there is something that should be looked for. Before jumping to the conclusion let me ask you if you can see a gold bar at the top of IE? You should be able to view it at least once while installing the Active-X control.

Now, I think that I will be able to get to the climax of this problem. Actually the last post just helped me a lot. Thanks Engg. If all of have reached the final posts, then click on the installer of the Active-X controller and complete the dialog box. It will stall there while a green tracer will be running. At that time when I was working with this problem I was facing many problems with the deployment of virtual labs. I was finally able to get TechNet Virtual Lab Express Windows 7 Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization (MED-V) which worked quite well.

Toshiba to use Cell processor for TV of the future

Japanese electronics giant Toshiba announced plans Thursday to use the super-fast Cell processor to power what it described as the "future of TV."

Toshiba, revealing the company's latest products and technologies at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) here, said the high-end televisions would be marketed in 2009.

"Cell TV is going to use the Cell processor, the most advanced video processor," said Scott Ramirez, vice president for marketing at Toshiba America. "It's way beyond anything that's used in a television today."

"We have ramped down the N810 WiMax Edition tablet. It has reached the end of its lifecycle," said a Nokia spokesman. Nokia unveiled the model only nine months ago, while usually even the most trendy models have a shelf life of well over a year.

Canada's Nortel Networks Corp has said LTE will be the most likely upgrade path for about 80 percent of the world's existing mobile phone providers, with others going for WiMax.

Google's free code-hosting Web site for developers is being used to distribute malware, a security researcher said on Friday.

Google Code is a place where programmers can host projects and code. Along with the legitimate code are links to fake videos that direct users to download a missing codec, said Dave Marcus, director of security research for McAfee Avert Labs. The codecs turn out instead to be password-stealing Trojan horses and programs geared toward stealing financial information for identity fraud, he said.

"They're using it as a way to send out links or as a place to house their links and redirects because it's Google and obviously it gets highly ranked in the index," he said. "The bad guys look for services like this as a way to push out code."

A Google spokesman said the company has removed malware-distributing projects from Google Code and search results.

"Google works hard to protect our users from malware. Using Project Hosting on Google Code, or any Google product, to serve or host malware is a violation of our product policies," the spokesman said in a statement. "Using automated tools, we actively work to detect and remove sites that serve malware from our network. We have removed many of these projects from Google Code and from our search results. Additionally, we'll continue to explore new ways to identify and eliminate such content."

its 10,000th U.S. patent. The invention, U.S. Patent No. 7,479,950,
applies to surface computing technology and outlines how users can
place real objects — anything from cell phones to their own fingers —
on the computer's tablelike display and the computer will
automatically identify the objects and track their position,
orientation and motion. This allows the objects to be associated with
data or media, like a specific collection of music or photos.

Curtis Wong, one of four co-inventors of the patent from Microsoft
Research, explains that there are myriad uses for the patented
technology in conjunction with Microsoft Surface computers or other
touch-screen applications. For example, a group of photos from a
particular vacation could be associated with a souvenir from the trip.
Placing the souvenir on a Microsoft Surface computer might initiate a
slide show. Rotating the souvenir accelerates or slows the playback
speed. Placing it on another area of the screen would "spill" the
photos onto the Surface display, allowing the user to edit, delete or
add photos to that collection with simple gestures.

Or a user might choose to associate a collection of party music with a
matchbox from a favorite music club. Placing the matchbox on Microsoft
Surface would cause all the album covers within that party mix to jump
out, so the user can rearrange the playlist. From there, she could
place the matchbox on a play button to hear the music, and then rotate

experience. With its paperback-size proportions, Amazon's reader
displays a full page at a time. Its large, ergonomic buttons make it

access certain controls. And its non-backlit e-ink display is far
easier on the eyes than the iPhone's backlit screen, particularly if
you plan to read for an hour or two.

Furthermore, Kindle for iPhone is intentionally crippled. You can't,
for instance, access Kindle's blogs, magazines or newspapers. But
since iPhone users can get most of that content via the Web anyway,

According to today's Firefox meeting notes, the version bump aims to
reflect more accurately the many changes introduced since the release

several changes to tabbed browsing, significant improvements to web
standards compatibility, a deeply enhanced JavaScript engines, and
several new privacy related including an all new private mode that

YouTube blocks premium music videos

Apple releases iTunes 8.1 update

to version 8.1 on Wednesday, adding support for the new line of iPod

game publishers, Disney's in-house gaming team wants to generate video
game characters and story lines that can be the basis of movies as

"That is the Holy Grail for video games, to see them successfully
become franchises," Graham Hopper, head of Disney's game division,

To that end, the company is investing in projects like the latest from
its Brighton, England-based Black Rock Studio, a car racing game
called "Split/Second" for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PCs, set within
the world of a reality television show.

With a release date of early 2010, the studio behind last year's
off-road racing game "Pure" has employed new graphics-rendering
technologies to pit racers against both the track and explosions
triggered by competitors. A sneak preview to the AP showed a race
track on an airport stage set, complete with an air traffic control

The title is part of Disney Interactive Studios' strategy of injecting
around 20 percent of its investment dollars into new
